The Brown Dog has friends with 2.5L 1987-1990 Wrangler YJs who have experienced a sagging motor mount. He also knows dog owners who have 1984-1986 2.8L V6 Cherokee XJ. This is why we engineered these replacement motor mounts for extreme strength. You'll find these mounts a serious upgrade from most aftermarket mounts, too.
High Performance Design.
We use steel and feature double-weld joints to provide the most strength possible. And, just to make sure, we periodically pull a set of mounts off the shelf and put them through our 20-Ton Press Test. We have yet to see a Brown Dog MM or MML with a structural failure.
Featuring Classic Polyurethane Bushings.
The Classic Polyurethane bushings in this set of Brown Dog motor mounts will give your rig a sportier feel. If the bushings ever start to wear, replacements are available from Brown Dog Offroad. Installation Notes

Do not over-tighten through-bolts (bolts that go through these mounts and the engine side brackets). Carefully follow tightening instructions.
- Mounts bolt directly to the pylons, in the identical position of the stock mounts.
- Secures engine in original stock position.
- Carefully inspect engine bracket for any excess wear, especially cracks.
- These motor mounts are significantly stronger than the originals so your brackets need to be in good shape.
