Brown Dog Left Engine Bracket for 2.5L I-4 Jeep

Once you've seen a busted cast bracket, you'll know why you'll want to upgrade to this engine bracket. With the torsional forces involved in off-roading today, why risk a sagging engine miles from civilization? Bracket construction features all-steel with double-welds. Engineered for use with stock-height motor mounts (MMs) or 1" or 2" motor mount lifts (MMLs). Unique lipless bracket design will not interfere with installation of 1" or 2" MMLs.

We strongly recommend upgrading to the Brown Dog's High-Performance Motor Mount when converting to this bracket. Stock mounts designed for street driving will simply not hold up. Since we know first-hand how much fun it is the change motor mounts and brackets, we suggest you change both at once. And never have to do it again. Upgrade Kits listed below.

Hardware
The Brown Dog ships all new Grade 8 hardware for bolting bracket to engine block. An all new Grade 8 through-bolt, lock nut and washers are included for securing bracket to motor mounts or motor mount lifts.

Utilizes existing bolt pattern found on 2.5L (4 cylinder) Jeep engines shipped originally with

* Note: If using original-style Jeep motor mounts, order replacement mounts for a TJ, not YJ. This Brown Dog engine bracket is designed to accept the motor mount width that Jeep settled on for the TJ.
