The Brown Dog has experienced a couple busted stock motor mounts himself, on his own Wrangler. This is why we engineered motor mounts and motor mount lifts for extreme strength. You'll find these mounts a serious upgrade from most aftermarket mounts, too.
High Performance Design.
We use steel and feature double-weld joints to provide the most strength possible. And, just to make sure, we periodically pull a set of mounts off the shelf and put them through our 20-Ton Press Test. We have yet to see a Brown Dog MM or MML with a structural failure.
Featuring Classic Polyurethane Bushings.
The Classic Polyurethane bushings in this set of Brown Dog motor mounts will give your rig a sportier feel. If the bushings ever start to wear, replacements are available from Brown Dog Offroad. Installation Notes

Secures engine in original stock position.

The right (passenger side) bolts to a cradle which, in turn, bolts to pylon. If in good condition, you may wish to reuse your existing cradle. However, many customers have removed the mount to replace it and then saw the cradle busted into a couple pieces. You may want to order the cradle with the motor mounts.
- Carefully inspect engine brackets for any excess wear, especially cracks. The original cast aluminum brackets weren't designed to handle off-road conditions. If engine brackets are needed, order X2569-0 Kit which includes polyurethane motor mounts, engine brackets and the mount support cradle.
- Tighten through-bolts (bolt that goes through bracket arms and motor mount) snug. Do NOT over-tighten locknuts on through-bolts. Carefully follow through-bolt tightening instructions.

Bolts to pylons should be tightened like most others on your Jeep frame. Nice and tight.

Jeep Wrangler YJ, 2.5L (150ci), 4 Cylinder, 1991-1995 - for use with Brown Dog Engine Brackets. Will not fit original Jeep engine brackets.
