2.5L and 2.4L Jeep Wrangler TJ & LJ Motor Mounts, Stock Height (Pair)
The Brown Dog has experienced a couple busted stock motor mounts himself, on his own Jeep Wrangler. This is why we engineered these high performance motor mounts for extreme strength. You'll find these mounts a serious upgrade from most other mounts, too.
High Performance Design.
We use steel and feature double-weld joints to provide the most strength possible. And, just to make sure, we periodically pull a set of mounts off the shelf and put them through our 20-Ton Press Test. We have yet to see a Brown Dog MM or MML with a structural failure.
Featuring Classic Polyurethane Bushings.
The Classic Polyurethane bushings in this set of Brown Dog motor mounts will give your rig a sportier feel. If the bushings ever start to wear, replacements are available from Brown Dog Offroad. Installation Notes
- Mounts bolt directly to the pylons (frame-side brackets) and slide into original engine brackets with no trimming or grinding.
- Secures engine in the original stock position.
- Carefully inspect engine brackets for any excess wear, especially cracks. The original brackets weren't designed to handle the strength of these high-performance motor mounts. If brackets show wear, order appropriate kit for your vehicle engine and year. All Brown Dog Kits include both motor mounts and both engine brackets.

Tighten through-bolts (bolt that goes through bracket arms and motor mount) snug. Do not over-tighten through-bolt lock nuts. Please remember, lock nuts are for one-time use only. If removed, they should be replaced, not re-used. Air tools should not be used here.

Pylon bolts should be tightened like most others on your Jeep frame. Nice and tight.

Replaces through-bolts, all-metal lock nuts, & washers originally installed through your Jeep TJ 2.5L & 2.4L motor mounts and engine brackets. (All Brown Dog Brackets include through-bolts, no charge. Order these only if needed for OE brackets.)
