The Brown Dog has experienced a couple busted "straps" like found on the original stock motor mount design on his own 1991 2.5L Jeep YJ Wrangler. This is why we engineered motor mounts and motor mount lifts for extreme strength. You'll find these mounts a serious upgrade from most aftermarket mounts, too.
Engineered for High Performance.
We use steel and feature double-weld joints to provide the most strength possible. This is significantly stronger than the "strap" design commonly found on lower-strength original and many aftermarket mounts. And, just to test the strength of our mounts, we periodically pull a pair off the shelf and put them through our 20-Ton Press Test. We have yet to see a Brown Dog MM or MML with a structural failure. Nor have we had even one customer report a break of the steel mount.
Bolt-In Design.
This pair of motor mounts features a slightly narrower mount for installation on the driver (left) side than the right (passenger) side. The left mount will to slide into the original left bracket with no modification to either the bracket or the mount. The right mount is wider than the left side, but not quite as wide as the original right mount. We ship shims with this mount for use with the original right bracket. We do not make a wide motor mount for the right side because the original right cast-aluminum bracket will break, (it's a matter or when, not if) regardless if you're using our mounts or orginal mounts. This right mount is the same width as 2.5L Jeep motor mounts vehicles built after 1996. It slides into the Brown Dog right bracket.
Featuring Ultra-Flex Rubber Bushings.
These Brown Dog motor mounts feature our proprietary Ultra-Flex Rubber bushings designed to dampen drive-train vibration. On 1991-1995 2.5L YJ, the right (passenger side) mount bolts to a cradle which, in turn, bolts to pylon (aka perch or frame-side bracket). If in good condition, you may wish to reuse your existing cradle. However, many customers have removed the mount to replace it and then saw the cradle busted into a couple pieces. You may want to order a CR2569 Motor Mount Cradle with your motor mounts.

Carefully inspect engine brackets for any excess wear, especially cracks. The original brackets weren't designed to handle the strength of these high-performance motor mounts. If only the right (passenger side) bracket needs replaced, order B2569-R bracket with these mounts. If you'd rather upgrade all the engine brackets, motor mounts and cradle at once, order the X2569-0 Kit which includes motor mounts, engine brackets, and the passenger mount support cradle.

Tighten through-bolts (bolt that goes through bracket arms and motor mount) snug.

Do NOT over-tighten lock nuts on through-bolts.

Bolts to pylons should be tightened like most others on your Jeep frame. Nice and tight.
