High Performance Design.
The Brown Dog experienced a sagging engine on his own Wrangler YJ. This is why we engineered these replacement motor mounts for extreme strength. You'll find these mounts a serious upgrade from most others, too. We use plate steel and double-weld joints to provide the most strength possible. And, just to make sure, we periodically pull one off the shelf and put it through our 20-Ton Press Test. We have never seen a structural failure on Brown Dog mounts.

Featuring Ultra-Flex Rubber Bushings.

The Ultra-Flex Rubber bushings in this set of Brown Dog motor mounts will dampen more drive-line vibration. If the bushings ever start to wear, replacements are available from Brown Dog Offroad. Installation Notes

Engine will be raised 2" at the stock cooling fan.
Mounts bolt directly to the pylons, in the identical position of the stock mounts and are for use with OE engine brackets.
You will experience significant interference between 2" MMLs and the original engine bracket lips. Significant grinding on the original engine bracket lip will be required so the 2" MML clears. To avoid engine bracket modification we suggest upgrading to Brown Dog lipless Engine Brackets when you install the MMLs. (Original brackets will not interfere with Brown Dog MMs and have minimal interference with 1" MMLs.)
Carefully inspect engine brackets for any excess wear, especially cracks. The original brackets weren't designed to handle the strength of these high-performance MML. If engine brackets need replaced, order one of these kits.
- KU2572-2 which includes MML and engine brackets for most 4.0L and 4.2L Jeep vehicles.
- SU2572-2, includes MML and Brown Dog Super Engine Brackets for most 4.0L and 4.2L Jeep vehicles. These brackets feature more engine block mounting bolt locations than ordinary brackets.
Tighten through-bolts (bolt that goes through bracket arms and motor mount) snug.
Do NOT over-tighten locknuts on through-bolts.
Bolts to pylons should be tightened like most others on your Jeep frame. Nice and tight.

Application Notes
Fits Jeep vehicles below with engine bracket opening of 3.25" or more. Measure between bracket arms where the bracket and mount meet.
