Brown Dog Left Super Engine Bracket for Renix 4.0L I6 Jeep Cherokee XJ and Comanche MJ

Left (driver-side) Super Strong Jeep Engine Bracket features seven Grade 8 or metric equivalent bolts - four more than the originals - which virtually eliminates offroad torsional forces shearing bolts or ripping bolts from case. No engine block modification necessary.

As with all Brown Dog engine brackets, Super Brackets feature the Brown Dog's unique lipless design which eases installation of MMLs. This all-steel double-welded engine bracket accepts stock-height motor mounts (MMs) or 1" or 2" motor mount lifts (MMLs). Unique lipless bracket design will not interfere with installation of 1" or 2" MML. (Note: Installing MML on Cherokee XJ or Comanche MJ usually cause some interference between the floor pan and bell housing. Prior to ordering MML for a Cherokee or Comanche, be sure to measure clearance between floor pan and bell housing and be ready to make an alteration here, if necessary.)

Purchase this bracket individually (S2572-LRX) or with the right (passenger) side as a pair (S2572-PRX).

When converting to Brown Dog engine brackets, we strongly recommend upgrading to Brown Dog high-performance motor mounts or motor mount lifts. The original mounts, designed for street driving, simply won't stand up to the torsional forces experienced offroad. We have developed kits, including both motor mounts and brackets at a discount from purchasing everything individually.

Installation Hardware Included.
The Brown Dog ships all new Grade 8 hardware (or metric equivalent) required to bolt brackets to seven attach points in the existing engine block. Grade 8 through-bolts, lock nuts and washers are also included for securing brackets to motor mounts or motor mount lifts.

Renix Anti-Knock Sensor Adapter Included.

Also included with this engine block bracket is an adapter for use with the Renix Anti-Knock Sensor (PN RX2572). This adapter fits between the engine block and the sensor while accommodating for the bracket.

Application Notes:
Utilizes existing bolt pattern found on Renix 4.0L (6 cylinder) Jeep engines. If your vehicle no longer has the Renix system, but has it's original engine, please order S2572-L to get the correct installation hardware.

In preparation for installation, we suggest using brake fluid cleaner or PB Blaster to clean out the additional engine block thread bosses.
