Brown Dog Mount Support Cradle for 2.5L I4 Jeep
Due to it's location between the motor mount and the pylon (Wrangler YJ) or sill bracket (Comanche MJ and Cherokee XJ), it is difficult to see if this is broken or cracked. Yet, because it's especially prone to the torsional forces experienced offroad, many Jeep owners have found their original cradle broken into multiple pieces.
Like other Brown Dog products, this cradle is designed to withstand severe offroad stresses. Constructed entirely of steel and grade 8 (or metric equivalent) studs, we believe you'll be satisfied this bracket will stand up to your toughest punishment. Works with Brown Dog and all other motor mounts.
So if you hear some clunking under the hood or feel some unusual engine vibration, you might want to take a close look at the cradle holding the motor mount. While a busted original cradle won't leave you stranded miles from civilization, it can be the source of an irritating clunk and an alarmed look from your passenger (or raised ears from the Brown Dog).

Application
Supporting the MM or MML, the support cradle essentially connects the mount to the frame-side bracket.
