CU2572-1, Ultra-Flex Rubber 1" Motor Mount Lifts (Pair) Want Jeep motor mount lifts (MMLs) to help correct driveline angle caused by an extreme suspension lift? Doing a tummy tuck or other modification that's impacting drive-line angle? Brown Dog designed these MML to reposition your engine one inch higher than stock (at the cooling fan). This modification results in a change in the driveline angle. High Performance Design. The Brown Dog experienced a sagging engine on his own Wrangler YJ. This is why we engineered these replacement MML for extreme strength. You'll find these mounts a serious upgrade from most others, too. We use plate steel and double-weld joints to provide the most strength possible. And, just to make sure, we periodically pull one off the shelf and put it through our 20-Ton Press Test. We have never seen a structural failure on Brown Dog mounts. Featuring Ultra-Flex Rubber Bushings. These Brown Dog motor mounts feature Ultra-Flex Rubber bushings designed to dampen drive-train vibration. If this is your daily driver, you may find these bushings well worth the extra money. Should you ever need to replace the bushings, well have them. Prefer Classic Polyurethane bushings? We offer all motor mounts and motor mount lifts with either polyurethane or rubber to match your preference. Not sure which is for you? Click here. Backed by Brown Dog Promise. Brown Dog motor mounts will be the last set of mounts you'll need. The Brown Dog gives you his promise. Installation Notes -
Engine is lifted 1" at stock cooling fan. -
Mounts bolt directly to the pylons, in the identical position of the stock mounts. -
Carefully inspect engine bracket-to-block bolts and engine thread bosses for sheared bolts or broken bosses. While you're installing motor mount lifts, you may wish to avoid the risk of sheared engine blocks bolts, you may want to consider upgrading to our SU2572-1 Super Kit which includes these Ultra-Flex rubber 1" motor mount lifts and Brown Dog Super Engine Brackets (utilizing more engine block bolts than the original brackets). -
Do NOT over-tighten through-bolts (bolt that goes through bracket arms and motor mount). Carefully follow tightening procedures and you should not have any unnecessary vibration. -
Bolts to pylons (frame-side brackets) should be tightened like most others on your Jeep frame. Nice and tight. -
Loosen transmission mount prior to raising engine. Failure to do this likely will result in excessive vibration after motor mount installation. We recommend replacing transmission mount when replacing motor mounts. However, at a minimum, loosen bolts and carefully inspect for wear. - If you have any questions now, during installation (believe a part will not fit or have difficulty lining everything up), or after installation, do NOT alter the part, use a pry bar or yell at your dog. Call Brown Dog, 866 401-3877. We have extended phone support to assist with technical and installation questions.
